the Blackmagic Design Spares - Camera PCC6KPro - PCB Battery is the dedicated power-handling board located directly behind the battery compartment of the Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro.

While the "Power Assembly Cable" is the wiring that carries the electricity, this Battery PCB is the "intelligence" that manages the NP-F570 battery interface.

The Power Manager

In the 6K Pro, the battery system is more complex than in the 4K/6K models because it must handle the significantly higher power draw of the $1,500\text{nit}$ HDR screen.

  • Voltage Regulation: It stabilizes the raw battery voltage to ensure a consistent flow to the Main PCB, preventing voltage "sags" that could cause the camera to drop frames during high-bitrate recording.

  • Smart Charging: This board manages the internal charging logic. When you plug the camera into AC power via the 2-pin Weipu port, this PCB regulates the current sent into the NP-F570 battery.

  • Communication Bridge: It passes battery telemetry (percentage/voltage data) from the battery to the camera's software so you can see accurate remaining run-time on the LCD.

When to Replace the Battery PCB

  • Charging Failure: If the camera works on AC power but refuses to charge a known-good NP-F570 battery, the charging circuit on this specific board is likely burnt out.

  • Immediate Shutdowns: If the camera turns off the moment the AC cable is pulled, even with a full battery, the "switch-over" MOSFET on this PCB has failed.

  • "Battery Not Detected": If the camera shows a "cross" or empty icon even with a fresh battery inserted, the contact pins on the PCB are either bent, oxidized, or the logic chip has failed.

  • Heat Damage: Because this board handles the heat of charging and high-current discharge, components can eventually "cook" if the camera is used in extremely hot environments for extended periods.

Key Features

  • Genuine OEM Part: Specifically designed for the NP-F570 form factor and voltage requirements.

  • Heavy-Duty Contacts: Features high-conductivity gold-plated pins to ensure a low-resistance connection with the battery.

  • Integrated Safety: Includes thermal fuses to prevent the battery from overheating or "venting" in the event of an internal short circuit.

Technical Installation Note

Replacing the Battery PCB is a Level 2 repair, but it requires careful routing.

  • Pin Alignment: When installing the board, ensure the battery pins are perfectly centered in the battery door opening. If the board is slightly crooked, the battery will be difficult to slide in and may damage the new pins.

  • Ribbon/Wire Tension: This board connects to the Main PCB via a multi-pin harness. Ensure there is enough "slack" in the wire so that it doesn't rub against the sharp magnesium edges of the internal frame.

  • Contact Cleaning: Before installing, ensure no finger oils are on the battery contact pins. Use a quick wipe of Isopropyl Alcohol if you accidentally touch them.

  • The "Spring" Factor: Be careful not to lose the battery ejector spring mechanism, which often sits adjacent to this PCB.

Expert Tip: If your camera is losing power intermittently, check the physical tension of the battery pins on the PCB. Sometimes they just need to be very gently "sprung" forward with a non-conductive tool to make better contact with the battery terminals, saving you from needing a full replacement.

Are you finding that the camera won't charge the battery, or is it failing to recognize that a battery is even inserted?
