Visual Impact SA has offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town and provides equipment and support throughout the African continent. We have a full broadcast & professional engineering workshop taking care of our equipment maintenance needs. Our rental catalogue includes a wide range of production equipment from VR solution, high-speed cameras, HD cameras, complex Multicam setups and workflow support including data management to lights and grips. Data management services include mobile editing suits, data management on location or at client’s offices. We can provide detailed and bespoke workflow solutions; including carnet services and support to assist clients shooting across borders.

The Visual Impact Group
Visual Impact South Africa is part of the international Visual Impact Group, Europe’s leading supplier of broadcast equipment to the production community. Our group affiliation allows us access to extensive resources.
Established in 1987 by Group Managing Director John Quincy, the group employs 130 people who are based out of 20 offices in 10 countries covering UK, Europe and South Africa.
Our clients include some of the major broadcasters, production companies, freelancers and corporate blue chip companies around the world including, BBC, Granada TV, ITV, Sky, RTE, Hat Trick Productions, Carnival Films, Red Productions, Vertigo films, Open Mike, Hotcam Ltd and BHP.
We are a BBC approved supplier and both our sales and service departments are accredited by all the major manufactures including Sony, Panasonic, Canon, Fujinon, Vinten and Sachtler.
Our comprehensive array of services and facilities range from equipment sales and rental to NLE consultancy and hire, standards conversion and spare parts supply to duplication and studio hire.
We have supplied Oscar nominated movies and award winning TV dramas, commercials and documentaries including, District 9, The Firm, Lark Rise to Candleford, Paradox, Torchwood, Hotel Babylon, The F Word, Hell’s Kitchen, X Factor, Oceans, Blue Planet, Lost Land of the Jaguar, Football World Cup, Winter and Summer Olympics.
