The Blackmagic Design MultiView 16 is a powerful monitoring solution for productions that need to see many video sources at once. Visual Impact would use the MultiView 16 extensively in reality TV control rooms, live event setups and multi camera productions where many departments need visibility of different sources. On a reality show, there may be cameras in different rooms, fixed rig cameras, handheld operators, presenter cameras, playback feeds and programme outputs all running at the same time. The MultiView 16 gives the director, vision mixer, technical director and producers a single overview of what is happening across the production.

Practical example:
In a reality TV control room, Visual Impact could feed 16 camera sources into the MultiView 16 and display them on a large monitor in a 4x4 grid. The director can instantly see which camera has the best action, the producer can follow story moments, and the technical team can check that all feeds are active and correctly labelled. If one camera becomes important, that source can be soloed full screen for closer viewing.
