The Hollyland COSMO C2 HDMI/SDI Wireless Video Transmitter (1x TX) is a standalone, professional-grade transmitter component built for multi-camera broadcasting, live events, and heavy-duty cinema sets.
As the successor to the original Cosmo C1, the C2 series integrates Hollyland's HEVO 2.0 technology, which introduces an advanced wireless transmission range, lower latency, and the native capability to send two independent transmitter signals simultaneously to a single receiver (2TX-to-1RX architecture). Purchasing the single 1x TX expansion unit allows you to smoothly add a second camera angle to your existing Cosmo C2 workflow without doubling your receiver footprint.
Core Performance Features
-
Massive 3,000-Foot Footprint: Backed by the upgraded HEVO 2.0 processing engine, the transmitter throws uncompressed Full HD video up to an incredible 3,000 feet (1,000 meters) line-of-sight.
-
33ms High-Speed Latency: Real-time transmission clocks in at a near-instantaneous 33 milliseconds. Focus pullers, technical directors, and gimbal operators can make critical adjustments live without experiencing jarring monitoring delays.
-
HEVO 2.0 Adaptive Frequency Hopping: The transmitter actively scans the crowded 5.1 to 5.85 GHz frequency spectrum. If it encounters a heavy Wi-Fi bottleneck or RF clutter on set, it performs seamless, imperceptible frequency hops to the cleanest channel to prevent screen stuttering or drops.
-
Broadcast Frame Rate Flexibility: Fully supports fractional broadcast frame rates (like 23.98, 29.97, and 59.94 fps). Additionally, its backend network communicates with the receiver's automated FPS Booster tool to translate native cinematic inputs (24p/25p) into smooth 60p outputs for streaming grids.
-
Integrated 3G-SDI Loopout: Alongside standard HDMI and 3G-SDI inputs, the transmitter features a dedicated physical SDI loopout port, enabling camera operators to daisy-chain a local zero-latency monitor right onto the camera rig.

Power Architecture & Rigging
The COSMO C2 transmitter is designed to adapt to a wide array of camera layouts:
-
Dual Power Inputs: It features an input voltage range of 6V to 16V DC. You can run it directly off compact Sony-style NP-F batteries on a handheld rig, or use a D-Tap to barrel cable to pull power from large V-Mount or Gold-Mount cinema batteries powering the main camera.
-
Rugged Mounting: Built with standard 1/4"-20 threaded mounting points on the bottom and sides, allowing it to lock securely onto camera cages, articulating friction arms, or cold shoe adapters.
Multi-Cam Setup Pairing Note: When introducing this standalone 1x TX expansion unit into an existing Cosmo C2 ecosystem, pairing is handled easily via the central receiver menu. Long-press the receiver's control wheel, navigate to the device pairing menu, and power on the new transmitter. The system will sync automatically and assign the new camera to your secondary display channel (Channel B) for immediate side-by-side or split monitoring.
