The Hollyland LARK MAX DUO (Black) is a premium, 2-person wireless microphone system designed for content creators, interviewers, podcasters, and filmmakers.
Operating on the 2.4 GHz frequency band, this system features advanced MaxTimbre mic technology and standalone internal recording capabilities. It provides a studio-grade, dual-channel audio pipeline directly into mirrorless cameras, smartphones, or computers without requiring a complex external preamp configuration.
Core Hardware & Audio Capabilities
-
MaxTimbre Studio-Grade Audio: Each transmitter features a built-in omnidirectional microphone capsule engineered with a high-sensitivity 48 kHz / 24-bit sampling rate. With a clean 70 dB Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) and a maximum sound pressure level (SPL) of 128 dB, it easily captures pristine vocals while preventing distortion during unexpected shouting or loud noises.
-
On-Board Standalone Backup Recording: Each individual transmitter contains 8 GB of built-in storage, providing up to 14 hours of uncompressed, 24-bit WAV safety backup recording. If radio frequency (RF) interference causes a signal dropout to your camera, you can retrieve the clean, localized audio directly from the transmitter's internal memory later.
-
Advanced AMOLED Touchscreen Hub: The receiver features a vibrant, color AMOLED touch display equipped with a physical control wheel. This interface makes adjusting audio levels, switching output modes (Mono, Stereo, or Safety Track), and checking real-time battery status incredibly intuitive.
-
Advanced Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC): Powered by an advanced digital audio algorithm, a quick press of the transmitter's power button engages an aggressive noise gate. This filters out low-frequency environmental distractions like traffic rumble, air conditioning hums, or crowd noise while preserving natural human vocal frequencies.

💡 The Safety Track Advantage: When recording unpredictable subjects, you can toggle the receiver into Safety Track Mode. This outputs a dual-mono track where the left channel records your speaker at normal volume, while the right channel records an identical backup feed at a -6 dB lower volume. If your speaker suddenly laughs or shouts and clips the main audio track, you can cleanly swap to the lower safety track in post-production to save the recording.
