The Hollyland Mars 4K Wireless Video Receiver (RX) is a highly capable, standalone receiver unit designed to expand your wireless video monitoring environment. Known for bringing higher-resolution pipelines down to accessible indie and production price points, it pairs directly with a Mars 4K transmitter (or Mars M1 transceiver monitor) to stream high-fidelity video feed across a set.
Core Features & Breakdown
-
UHD 4K30 Support: It decodes UHD 4K video at up to 30 frames per second over its HDMI interface. It also fully supports standard broadcast/decimal frame rates (e.g., 23.98, 29.97, 59.94 fps) in 1080p and 720p.
-
Dual Interfaces with Cross-Conversion: The receiver is built for professional monitoring and features both 1x HDMI Output and 1x 3G-SDI Output.
-
Range & Low Latency: It has a line-of-sight (LOS) reception range of up to 450 feet (150 meters) from the transmitter. Transmission operates with an ultra-low latency of roughly 0.06 seconds (66 ms), which is tight enough for real-time focus pulling or active directing.
-
Intelligent Channel Scanning: The updated UI lets you scan local frequencies to immediately spot and bypass crowded local channels, ensuring a clean, stable signal on set.

Multi-Option Powering
Flexibility is critical on a shifting production set. The Mars 4K receiver can be powered three different ways depending on your kit arrangement:
-
NP-F Batteries: Features a built-in battery plate compatible with standard Sony L-Series batteries (like the NP-F970, F750, or F550).
-
DC Power: Accommodates a standard 6V to 16V barrel DC power source for permanent production monitor cages or studio arrays.
-
USB-C Power: Can be driven directly via standard 5V/2.5A USB power inputs (great for using common on-set power banks).
A Note on Expansion: A single Mars 4K Transmitter can link with up to two separate physical receivers simultaneously. Alternatively, it can split tasks to transmit to one physical receiver and two mobile devices (using the HollyView App for iOS/Android) to keep the crew in the loop.
