The Hollyland Pyro H 4K HDMI Wireless Video Receiver (RX) is the dedicated receiving component for the Pyro H dual-band wireless environment.
Available as a standalone unit, this individual receiver is engineered for production crews looking to scale up an existing Pyro H setup. Because the Pyro H ecosystem supports multi-receiver broadcast splitting, adding extra RX units allows you to pipe the central wireless camera feed directly to a director's monitor, a focus puller's rig, or a live event switcher booth simultaneously without adding latency.
Core Hardware & Signal Capabilities
-
Dual-Band Spectrum Stability (2.4 GHz & 5 GHz): Powered by Auto Frequency Hopping (ADH) technology, the receiver pulls data down over both frequencies at the exact same time. If the local set is heavily congested with corporate Wi-Fi or crowd mobile signals, the receiver intelligently drops the blocked frequency line and processes the clean one to completely eliminate frame tearing or signal drops.
-
Streamlined HDMI Infrastructure: Built specifically for modern mirrorless environments and HDMI field monitors (like Atmos or SmallHD units). The unit drops complex SDI BNC ports to keep the chassis lighter, providing a single, full-sized HDMI 1.4b output that natively delivers up to 4K30 video feeds.
-
Driverless UVC Live Streaming: Features a high-speed USB-C port supporting UVC (USB Video Class). You can plug a USB cable straight from the receiver into a laptop or streaming rig, and the computer will recognize the incoming wireless feed instantly as a standard webcam. This completely removes the need for standalone HDMI capture cards when pumping feeds into OBS Studio, Zoom, vMix, or YouTube Live.
-
Color-Coded Visual Organization: To make fast-paced gear setups straightforward, the Pyro H hardware uses distinct color tags: Blue branding indicates the Receiver (RX), while Red branding marks the Transmitter (TX).

Dual Signal Modes
The receiver responds dynamically to the two main processing priorities set on the transmitter via the intuitive side-mounted OLED display:
-
Smooth Mode: Automatically manages the transmission bitrate to lock latency to its absolute minimum. This configuration is essential for roving Focus Pullers / 1st ACs where seeing real-time movement down to the millisecond dictates hitting marks perfectly.
-
HD Mode: Locks the stream to its highest video bitrate (up to 12 Mbps), optimizing fine-detail compression algorithms and color processing. This mode is best suited for the Director's Monitor, client viewing tents, or makeup stations where high fidelity is preferred over raw speed.
What is Included in the Box
-
1 × Pyro H 4K Wireless Video Receiver (Blue Accents)
-
2 × Omni-directional Paddle Antennas
-
1 × 1/4"-20 Cold Shoe Mount Adapter
-
1 × Right-Angle DC Power Adapter Cable
⚠️ Multi-Receiver Power Warning: While the receiver's USB-C port is incredibly handy for powering the unit off a compact phone power bank on light monitor cages, keep the system's operational constraints in mind. If you are operating the system in its expanded Broadcast Mode (linking 3 to 4 receivers to a single transmitter), the hardware processing requirements increase. In this mode, the receiver cannot draw enough stable current through standard 5V/2A USB-C ports—you must use an NP-F battery or the locking 12V DC barrel jack to ensure a stable connection.
