The Hollyland Solidcom C1-4S is a true-wireless, full-duplex intercom system engineered for 4-person production teams who require instant, hands-free voice coordination.
Operating on the license-free 1.9 GHz DECT 6.0 spectrum, this is a completely hubless system configuration. Instead of relying on a heavy stationary base station, the system anchors itself around a single Master headset that coordinates the communication loop. It provides an uncompressed, simultaneous talk-and-listen environment across expansive video sets, houses of worship, or live theater productions.
Core Hardware & Operational Strengths
-
Hubless Architecture for Rapid Deployment: By tossing out the traditional desktop base station, the entire system can fit into a compact case and deploy in under a minute. One headset features a distinct red nameplate and serves as the Master router. The remaining 3 remote units feature blue nameplates and sync directly to it automatically upon powering up.
-
True Full-Duplex Dialogue: Functions exactly like an open phone call. All 4 users can speak and hear each other simultaneously without pushing buttons, completely avoiding the choppy, one-way constraints of traditional walkie-talkies.
-
Muscle-Memory Smart Muting: Toggling your live microphone is completely intuitive. Swiveling the microphone boom arm straight up past 30 degrees produces a physical click that instantly mutes your voice. Bringing the boom arm back down past your jawline opens the channel back up instantly.
-
Acoustic Vocal Tuning: The internal drivers are custom-tailored with a 150 Hz to 7 kHz frequency response optimized specifically for vocal intelligibility. This acoustic profile aggressively filters out low-end camera rumble and high-end hiss, keeping dialogue crisp even on busy show floors.
Power Architecture & Battery Lifecycle
Because the Master headset (red nameplate) serves as the primary processing anchor and handles data routing for the 3 remote units, its power draw is substantially higher:
| Headset Role (Color Code) | Continuous Runtime | Batteries Included in Kit |
| Master Headset (Red) | Up to 5 to 6 Hours max per charge | 2 × 700mAh Lithium-Ion Cells |
| Remote Headsets (Blue) | Up to 10 Hours max per charge | 6 × 700mAh Lithium-Ion Cells |

💡 Future Team Scaling Potential: Running this system in its default hubless configuration means the Master headset can directly host a maximum of 7 remote headsets (an 8-person team ceiling). If your production crew eventually grows down the line, you can buy up to 4 additional standalone remote headsets, register them directly to your existing Master unit over a USB cable in seconds, and scale up without needing to buy a new system core. If you need to expand beyond 8 users, you will need to add a physical Solidcom C1 HUB Base Station.
