The Hollyland Solidcom C1 Full-Duplex Wireless DECT Single-Ear Remote Headset (1.9 GHz) is a standalone wireless intercom expansion node engineered to integrate natively into an existing Solidcom C1 ecosystem.

By nesting all internal wireless transceivers, processors, and power links directly within the earcup frame, this headset completely eliminates the need for external clip-on bodypacks or tethered microphone cables. As an independent Remote Unit, it serves as an official OEM replacement or an expansion piece to add another roving camera operator, floor manager, or stagehand to your team’s real-time communication pipeline.

Core RF & Audio Engineering Features

  • True Full-Duplex Workflow: Operates as an open, hands-free conversational channel. Unlike traditional push-to-talk walkie-talkies that cut off incoming audio when a button is held, full-duplex technology lets your crew speak and listen simultaneously, mirroring a natural, face-to-face conversation.

  • 1.9 GHz DECT 6.0 Wireless Infrastructure: Utilizes professional DECT 6.0 technology on an isolated 1.9 GHz frequency band. Because it avoids the highly congested 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz spaces (common to local Wi-Fi routers and smartphone hot spots), it delivers a clean connection free of frequency interference.

  • 1,000-Foot Line-of-Sight Coverage: Maintains an encrypted wireless signal radius of up to 1,000 feet (300 meters) from its central anchor station. Dual-antenna diversity built inside each housing continuously samples the signal path to prevent dropouts from physical set walls or stage scaffolding.

  • Flip-to-Mute Microphone Boom: Features tactile, physical control logic for fast-paced film sets and live event spaces. Rotating the microphone boom arm vertically upward past a physical detent instantly mutes the transmission. Swinging the arm down past your mouth immediately opens the mic channel back up.

  • Wideband Acoustic Vocal Isolation: The internal audio processing curve focuses specifically on the 150 Hz to 7 kHz vocal frequency band. Combined with acoustic echo cancellation, it delivers crisp, highly accurate vocal articulation while tuning out distracting low-frequency rumble from venue ventilation or background crowd noise.

System Integration Constraints

As an independent Remote headset, this module cannot establish a communications loop entirely on its own. It requires a master anchor node to guide its signal routing:

  • Host Requirement: Must be paired with a Solidcom C1 Master Headset or synced directly to a central Solidcom C1 HUB Base Station.

  • Ecosystem Expansion Boundaries: In a standard non-hub setup, a single Master headset can host up to 5 remote units simultaneously. When integrated into a larger C1 HUB setup, the network expands to support up to 8 remote units per operational base.

Technical Specifications Matrix

Feature Specification
Official Device Class Standalone Wireless Remote Extension Node (Single-Ear)
Wireless RF Protocol DECT 6.0 on 1.9 GHz Transmission Carrier Band
Maximum Operating Range Up to 1,000 Feet (300 Meters) Line-of-Sight (LOS)
Simultaneous Channels Full-Duplex (Open Microphones)
Audio Frequency Curve 150 Hz to 7 kHz Wideband Voice Optimization
Signal Distortion Metrics less than 1% Distortion Profile
Remote Node Runtime Up to 10 Hours on a single rechargeable cell
Battery Infrastructure Removable 700 mAh (2.66 Wh) Lithium-Ion Pack
Net Structural Weight Approx. 6.0 oz / 168 g (Extremely lightweight with battery inserted)

Ergonomics & Power Infrastructure

The Solidcom C1 frame is constructed from a high-flexibility, lightweight PC-ABS composite material, balancing out at just 168 grams (including the battery pack). This ensures that camera operators, drone pilots, and crane technicians can comfortably wear the single-ear assembly all day without experiencing neck strain or ear pressure.

The unit runs on removable 700 mAh lithium-ion battery packs, supplying up to 10 hours of active field use on a single charge. If your shooting day hits unexpected overtime, the battery compartment features a quick-latch door that allows you to swap in a fresh cell in less than five seconds without taking the headset completely off your head.

On-Set Remote Pairing Protocol: If you are adding this new Remote Headset to an existing C1 package, pairing takes only a few seconds. Ensure your Master headset is powered on. Grab the new Remote headset, press and hold the volume up and down buttons simultaneously on both units for 5 seconds. The integrated status LEDs inside the earcups will flash rapidly as they run an auto-tuning handshake. Once both indicators turn solid green, the remote node is successfully mapped into your system's encrypted network grid.
