The Hollyland Solidcom C1-HUB8S is a full-duplex, wireless DECT intercom system designed for a 9-person production layout. It represents the original, benchmark formulation of the Solidcom series—providing clear, uncompressed, real-time communication without the need for a push-to-talk button.

Operating on the license-free 1.9 GHz DECT 6.0 band, this system pairs 8 wireless remote headsets with a central HUB Base Station. The HUB station introduces an extra, wired headset link to anchor a 9th user (typically the Director or Technical Director) while giving the master operator powerful team routing controls that are missing from basic, hubless intercom systems.

Core Hardware & Group Routing Architecture

  • A/B Dual-Group Team Partitioning: The primary benefit of using the HUB base station over standard hubless kits is the ability to split your team. The front interface panel of the HUB allows the director to separate the 9 users into two isolated channels (Group A and Group B), or keep them all in a single open-loop channel. For instance, you can assign your camera crew to Group A and your stage hands to Group B so they don't clog each other's lines.

  • 9-User Full-Duplex Communications Ring: The complete, out-of-the-box configuration divides duties cleanly:

    • 1 × Master Wired Headset: Connects straight into the HUB station's front-panel 3.5mm jack, keeping the main director connected at the control desk.

    • 8 × Remote Wireless Headsets: Communicate completely untethered across the venue floor with individual volume adjust keys.

  • Master Announcement (ANNC) Override: If a critical change occurs mid-broadcast, the director can press the physical ANNC button on the HUB. This instantly mutes the communication loop between the remote headsets, allowing the director to broadcast an emergency cue or announcement to all 9 users simultaneously across both groups.

  • Muscle-Memory Smart-Mute Controls: Operating the wireless headsets is entirely intuitive. Swiveling the microphone boom arm upward automatically clicks the headset into mute, while pulling it down below the jawline instantly reactivates the microphone line.

Hub Interface & Studio Infrastructure Bridging

The rear panel of the HUB8S is built to act as an audio interface bridge, integrating your mobile wireless field crew into permanent venue installations:
