The Hollyland Solidcom C1 Pro-4S-DH is a premium, 4-person full-duplex wireless intercom system completely configured with Double-Ear (DH) headsets.
While single-ear kits are popular for general film sets, the "DH" (Dual-Ear) configuration is purpose-built for team members deployed in extreme acoustic chaos. Front-of-house (FOH) audio engineers, live concert camera operators standing next to massive line arrays, loud sporting event staff, and heavy industrial production crews use this system to gain passive acoustic isolation over both ears, guaranteeing focus without having to dangerously max out the volume.
Core Audio & RF Engineering Features
-
True Full-Duplex Architecture: Operates as an open, hands-free conversational ring. Unlike traditional walkie-talkies that block communication lines whenever a user holds a push-to-talk button, full-duplex lets all 4 crew members speak and listen simultaneously.
-
Pro-Tier Dual-Mic Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC): Each headset houses an active dual-microphone array. The primary directional mic focuses strictly on your mouth, while an omnidirectional secondary microphone on the outer shell tracks ambient background sound. The internal algorithm instantly neutralizes up to 20dB of low-frequency din, passing pristine voice lines to the rest of the crew.
-
Tactile Push-to-Talk (PTT) Switch: The side of the earpiece features a large physical button switch. Users can click it to seamlessly toggle between an open-mic "always-on" state, a standard "click-to-mute" loop, or hold it down for quick "Push-to-Talk" commands.
-
1.9 GHz DECT 6.0 Security: Operates on the protected 1.9 GHz frequency band. Because it completely avoids the heavily congested 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz spaces (common to local venue Wi-Fi routers and smartphones), it delivers an encrypted connection free of frequency interference.
-
Flip-to-Mute Mechanics: Raising the microphone boom arm vertically past a physical detent click instantly mutes your transmission. Swinging the arm down past your mouth immediately opens the channel back up.
Kit Architecture & Deployment
The Solidcom C1 Pro-4S-DH utilizes a hubless Master-to-Remote topology:
-
The Master Anchor: The kit includes 1 Master Headset (identified by its red nameplate) and 3 Remote Headsets. The Master headset acts as the processing hub that anchors the wireless connection. If the Master headset is turned off or out of range, the Remote headsets cannot communicate with one another.
-
Out-of-the-Box Deployment: The system arrives factory pre-paired. Operators simply insert the batteries, power on the units, and the encrypted communication network initializes automatically within seconds.

On-Set Master Power Protocol: Because the Master headset constantly transmits and receives signals across all remote channels simultaneously, its battery expends energy faster than the remote units, yielding roughly 6 hours of runtime compared to the 10 hours provided by the Remote nodes. When assigning fresh batteries from the charging dock during a mid-day turnaround, always ensure the Master headset gets a fresh cell first to prevent an accidental communication blackout across the entire crew.
