The Hollyland Solidcom C1 Pro-8S is a true-wireless, full-duplex intercom system tailored for 8-person production teams who need zero-latency, hands-free communication.
Operating on the protected 1.9 GHz DECT 6.0 frequency band, this "Pro" variant upgrades Hollyland's highly popular headset line by incorporating premium Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC). This version is a hubless system configuration—meaning the 8 headsets sync directly to one another using one headset designated as the master anchor node, entirely removing the need for a heavy, stationary base station hub.
Core Audio & ENC Design
-
Dual-Microphone Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC): Engineered specifically for loud event environments like concerts, sports venues, and dense broadcast sets. Each headset features a primary directional vocal microphone on the boom arm and a secondary ambient mic built into the ear cushion assembly. The internal DSP chip analyzes the environment and suppresses up to 20dB of background noise, ensuring your team only hears crisp, isolated speech.
-
Hubless Master-Node Infrastructure: By eliminating a central desktop base station, the kit is optimized for fast deployments and roving field crews. One headset features a distinct red nameplate and acts as the system Master. The remaining 7 remote units (blue nameplates) connect directly to this master cell.
-
Seamless Full-Duplex Real-Time Voice Rings: Unlike walkie-talkies that force a push-to-talk (PTT) delay, the C1 Pro-8S functions like an open phone call. All 8 users can speak and listen simultaneously, allowing for instant coordination during complex live cues.
-
Intuitive Move-to-Mute Mechanism: Toggling the mic is entirely muscle-memory based. Swiveling the mic boom upward past 30 degrees produces a subtle physical click that mutes the line entirely. Pulling the boom arm down below the jawline instantly opens up the channel again.
Battery Architecture & Field Lifespan
The power network is heavily split depending on the configuration load. Because the designated Master headset acts as the processing router for the remaining seven remotes, its power draw curve is substantially higher:
| Headset Role | Operational Lifespan (ENC Active) | Operational Lifespan (ENC Off) |
| Master Headset (Red Nameplate) | Up to 5 Hours max per charge | Approx. 6 Hours |
| Remote Headsets (Blue Nameplates) | Up to 10 Hours max per charge | Approx. 11 Hours |

⚠️ System Limitation & Expansion Bounds: Because this specific 8S bundle runs purely via a hubless connection loop, the system has reached its absolute hardware limit out of the box. A single master headset can anchor a maximum of 7 remotes. If your production crew grows beyond 8 users in the future, you cannot simply buy a 9th standalone headset and pair it to this loop. To scale up, you will need to integrate a physical Solidcom C1 Pro Base Station Hub, which re-routes the headsets into a dual-group matrix that supports up to 9 or 16 users simultaneously.
