The Hollyland Solidcom C1 Pro Full-Duplex ENC Wireless Intercom Remote Headset (Single-Ear) is a standalone expansion headset built to integrate natively into Hollyland’s premier C1 Pro communications ecosystem.
While the original C1 series established the form factor, the Pro line directly addresses the biggest hurdle on live sets: environmental noise. This independent remote unit adds an extra communication slot for roaming operators, floor managers, or technicians who need clear, zero-latency talkback in loud production environments.
Key Audio & Structural Upgrades
-
Pro-Grade Dual-Mic Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC): The core upgrade of the Pro model is an active dual-microphone array. A directional main microphone focuses on the speaker's mouth while an omnidirectional secondary microphone on the outer earpiece captures ambient venue noise. An integrated ENC processor calculates and strips out up to 20dB of low-frequency background din, delivering clean vocals even when standing next to loud concert P.A. arrays or rumbling venue HVAC systems.
-
Integrated Push-to-Talk (PTT) Button: The Pro earcup features a dedicated, highly tactile physical button switch. Users can click it to seamlessly alternate between an open-mic "always-on" conversational state, a traditional "click-to-mute" loop, or a "hold-to-talk" configuration for quick commands.
-
Acoustic Wind Noise Removal: Engineered with custom Y5 felt paper layered over the capsule layout along with high-density foam windscreens. This physical acoustics package isolates and reduces wind noise by up to 20.76dB, ensuring reliable use on blustery outdoor film locations or sporting events.
-
Universal Backward Compatibility: The headset is completely cross-compatible with the standard, original Solidcom C1 systems. Because the advanced ENC processing happens entirely on the transmitter side, adding a C1 Pro Remote Headset to an older C1 system means anyone listening down the line will hear cleaner, noise-canceled audio from this node.
Ecosystem Integration Boundaries
As a standalone Remote Headset, this device contains no master transceiver routing capabilities. It cannot create a functional intercom network on its own:
-
The Master Requirement: It must be paired with a Solidcom C1 Pro Master Headset or synced directly back to a central Solidcom C1 Pro HUB Base Station.
-
System Scales: Up to 7 remote headsets can connect simultaneously to a single Master Headset without a hub. When connecting directly to a central C1 Pro HUB base station, the system scales up to 8 wireless remotes per hub partition.

Ergonomics & Power Infrastructure
The chassis is built using a lightweight, impact-resistant PC-ABS composite material, weighing in at just 170 grams—making it lighter than most modern smartphones. The single-ear configuration balances comfort with situational awareness, keeping your opposite ear completely open to notice local set safety hazards or face-to-face team questions.
The power framework utilizes the exact same 700mAh batteries found across the C1 line, offering 10 hours of active field operation even with the active ENC processors running continuously. The battery compartment features a quick-latch access door, allowing hot-swaps to be completed in under five seconds mid-shoot.
On-Set Remote Pairing Protocol: To add this remote headset to your existing non-hub system, power on your designated Master headset. Put on the new C1 Pro Remote unit, and press and hold the A button (or volume up and down indicators depending on firmware) simultaneously on both headsets for roughly 10 seconds. The indicator LED inside the microphone boom arm will flash rapidly during the automatic digital handshake, transitioning to a solid Blue LED once secure AES-128 encryption pairing is established and the active ENC network goes live.
