The Hollyland Solidcom C1 Single-Ear Wired Headset (3.5mm) is a dedicated, specialized hardware extension designed exclusively to plug directly into a Solidcom C1 or C1 Pro HUB Base Station.
While standard Solidcom C1 wireless remote headsets rely on independent internal batteries and RF modules to connect through the air, this wired variant acts as a hard-anchored monitoring bridge. It plugs natively into the 3.5mm TRRS input jack on your central HUB, converting the static base station into an active, latency-free master headset position for your director, technical producer, or engineering lead.
Core Functional Capabilities
-
Unlocks Master Control Position: By plugging this headset into the C1 Solidcom HUB, the operator takes control of the entire local comms infrastructure. It acts as the "Command Central" node, allowing the director to monitor all wireless lines without consuming one of the wireless slot connections.
-
Instant Dynamic Muting: Features Hollyland's signature structural control logic. The microphone boom arm rotates a full 360 degrees (allowing you to wear the earcup over either your left or right ear). Pulling the boom arm down opens the mic line, while flipping the boom vertically past the click point instantly mutes your transmission.
-
Zero Battery Anxiety: Because this node establishes a physical copper-wire link directly to the system's powered HUB, it requires absolutely no internal batteries or charging. It draws its operational voltage directly through the 3.5mm connector, ensuring uninterrupted transmission during grueling live broadcast turnarounds.
-
Master Announce & Grouping Support: When worn by the team leader at the HUB station, this headset can utilize the HUB's physical hardware interfaces. This gives you instant access to A/B Grouping (dividing camera ops and lighting techs onto independent channels) and the "ANNOUNCE" emergency key (which mutes all remote wireless headsets so the crew can only hear the director's feed).
System Interoperability Matrix
This wired headset is not a generic pair of headphones; it is strictly wired and pin-mapped to translate signals within Hollyland's specific intercom architecture:
-
The HUB Anchor: Requires a standalone Solidcom C1 HUB Base or Solidcom C1 Pro HUB Base to function.
-
Ecosystem Expansion: Standard non-hub C1 setups are limited to 8 wireless headsets. By adding a HUB Base and plugging this wired headset into it, the system immediately expands to support 1 Wired Headset + 8 Wireless Remote Headsets simultaneously on a single hub.

On-Set Cable Management Protocol: The integrated cable on the C1 Wired Headset is specifically measured to keep the operator within arm's reach of the physical HUB console buttons (A/B groups and Announce keys). If your director needs to move away from the engineering flypack rack, avoid using standard cheap headphone extension cords, which can cause grounding hums or unshielded RF feedback. Instead, look into cascading an additional HUB via an IP network link, or assign a standard wireless master headset to give the director a full 1,000-foot roving radius.
