The Hollyland Solidcom M1 Base Station (Hub) serves as the powerful master command node and primary transceiver brain for the Solidcom M1 professional wireless intercom series.

Designed for medium-to-large multi-department crews—such as lighting teams, audio engineers, camera operators, and stage managers—this base station coordinates all wireless matrix routing, encryption, and multi-channel division without requiring an external server or laptop.

Core RF & Antenna Engineering

The Solidcom M1 Hub features a highly innovative, dual-topology antenna system designed to adapt seamlessly to varying event venues:

  • Integrated Front-Facing Panel Antenna: Built right into the face of the housing, this directional panel requires zero field assembly. It blasts a targeted signal with up to 1,300 feet (400 meters) Line-of-Sight (LOS) range forward and roughly 160 feet (50 meters) out the back—making it the ideal layout for a stage or sanctuary facing an audience.

  • External High-Gain FRP Antennas: For massive 360° open environments like sporting arenas, festivals, or exhibition spaces, the base station includes physical connectors for a pair of high-gain fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) omnidirectional antennas. When mounted, they convert the system into a 985-foot (300-meter) operational radius zone.

  • Intelligent Auto-Switching: The hub continuously evaluates the digital signal strength and automatically jumps between the internal panel and external antennas on the fly to prevent dropped audio.

Team Communication & Broadcast Control

  • Native 8-User Capability: A single standalone base station natively supports full-duplex (simultaneous speak and listen) communication for up to 8 individual wireless beltpacks.

  • Up to 3-Group Team Isolation: You can quickly partition your crew into distinct operational loops (e.g., Group A for Cameras, Group B for Lighting, Group C for Audio). Grouping can be configured instantly on the hub’s front panel buttons, via the smartphone app, or through a local IP web browser interface.

  • Zero-Downtime Hot-Swappable Power: The station can draw power directly via PoE (Power over Ethernet) from an active network switch, or run entirely in the field off two standard Sony NP-F (L-Series) batteries. The dual slots allow you to hot-swap batteries one at a time without breaking the communication circle.

Advanced Multi-System Link & Pro Audio I/O

The bottom edge of the chassis is highly adaptive, housing professional connectivity tools to splice your wireless team directly into permanent venue infrastructure:

  • 4-Wire Balanced Audio Interface (RJ45): Connects natively into high-end matrix intercom networks (like Clear-Com or RTS studio systems).

  • 2-Wire Audio Interface (XLR): Integrates directly with traditional analog partyline systems (such as legacy wired theater or concert house intercom setups), complete with an Auto-Null menu calibration tool to sweep out echo loops automatically.

  • Infinite IP Cascading: Features dedicated cascade Ethernet ports. You can loop multiple Solidcom M1 Hubs together using a standard network cable to scale your crew (e.g., chaining 2 hubs instantly creates a 16-person full-duplex network split across Master and Slave nodes).

Technical Specifications Matrix

Feature Specification
Wireless Carrier Standard Digital DECT 6.0 operating on the protected 1.9 GHz Band
Modulation Schema GFSK (Optimized for secure, encryption-stable voice data)
Vocal Audio Curve Wideband 200 Hz to 7 kHz response
Audio Metric Threshold Greater than 50dB SNR / Less than 1% Total Distortion
System I/O Interfaces 1× RJ45 4-Wire, 1× XLR 2-Wire, 1× POE/LAN Input, 1× USB
Mounting Hardware Dual 3/8" structural screw threads (Bottom & Side) for tripods/light stands
Net Base Weight Approx. 3.4 lbs / 1,560 grams

💡 On-Set Network Configuration Tip: For sophisticated stage managers who need to re-group technicians mid-show without walking over to the tech table, the hub broadcasts its own internal local configuration network. Simply connect a smartphone or laptop to the base station's local Wi-Fi, open any internet browser, and type in the IP address shown on the hub's OLED status screen. This launches a clean visual dashboard where you can rename users, adjust individual input/output mic gains, or shift beltpacks across groups instantly.
