The Hollyland Solidcom SE-2S is a professional 2-person wireless intercom system designed to give small creative teams, independent videographers, a camera operator and director, or crane/gimbal crews an affordable, high-performance, hands-free talkback loop.
By shrinking the wireless transceiver components down and nesting them directly inside the earcups, the SE-2S completely cuts the need for traditional external body belt-packs or dangling mic cables. This 2S package provides an instant, out-of-the-box communication baseline for a team of two to converse continuously with premium noise reduction.
Core Audio & RF Engineering Features
-
True Full-Duplex Architecture: Operates as a completely hands-free, open conversational channel. Unlike traditional "walkie-talkie" push-to-talk systems that block the channel while one person speaks, full-duplex technology lets both users speak and listen at the exact same time, mimicking a natural phone conversation.
-
Dual-Mic Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC): Built with an intelligent dual-microphone array that isolates the user's voice while identifying and neutralizing up to 20dB of low-frequency ambient noise. Boasting a 71dB Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR), it ensures crystal-clear communication even on windy outdoor locations, next to loud generators, or right beside main stage speakers.
-
1,100ft Stable Line-of-Sight Range: Maintains a rock-solid, line-of-sight communication range of up to 1,100 feet (350 meters). An internal automatic frequency-tuning algorithm continuously scans the local environment for RF congestion and seamlessly shifts channels to protect against dropped words.
-
Simple, Fast Muting Control: Designed with intuitive physical control logic to handle sudden on-set environment changes:
-
Flip-to-Mute Boom: Swinging the microphone arm vertically upward automatically cuts the mic line.
-
Latching Push-to-Talk (PTT) Button: Features a dedicated button on the earcup chassis, allowing users to toggle between a hands-free open mic or a quick press-to-talk mode.
-
Kit Architecture & Deployment
The Solidcom SE-2S system utilizes a Master-to-Remote topology:
-
The Master Anchor: The kit includes 1 Master Headset and 1 Remote Headset. The Master headset acts as the processing hub that anchors the wireless connection. If the Master headset is turned off or out of range, the Remote headset cannot communicate.
-
Factory Pre-Paired: The system arrives factory pre-paired. Operators simply insert the batteries, power on the units, and the encrypted communication network initializes automatically within seconds.

On-Set Power Rotation Tip: Because the Master Headset manages the signal processing link for the remote, its battery expends energy slightly faster, yielding roughly 10 hours of runtime compared to the 12 hours provided by the Remote node. When assigning fresh batteries from the charging dock during a mid-day turnaround, always place the freshest battery pack into the Master headset first to keep your primary connection active.
