The Hollyland Ethernet to Dual XLR Cable (Model: HV-CA01) is an official OEM utility breakout adapter designed to bridge audio ecosystems. It is used for cascading and expanding professional intercom systems, allowing devices with a standard RJ45 networking jack to communicate over 4-wire audio lines.

This cable acts as a physical hardware bridge to pass bi-directional intercom audio between different families of communication base stations or traditional wired matrices.

Core Functionality & Cascading

On multi-team production stages or broadcast sets, you often need to combine different wireless packages or link a wireless setup to an existing venue house mix. The HV-CA01 functions as a translator for these setups:

  • System Interconnection & Cascading: Easily integrates separate base stations together into a single master talk group loop (e.g., daisy-chaining a Mars T1000 with a Syscom 1000T).

  • Cross-Family Compatibility: Bridges newer DECT intercom base stations with older setups or traditional wired systems.

  • Bi-Directional 4-Wire Routing: The conversion architecture breaks down the RJ45 data line into dedicated Send and Receive channels, utilizing separate male and female XLR pipelines to guarantee clean full-duplex communication without crosstalk.

Expanded System Ecosystem Interoperability

While optimized for the standard Mars T1000 and Syscom 1000T setups, this adapter cable is universally compatible across Hollyland's professional communication hubs:

  • Mars Series: Mars T1000 Base Station

  • Syscom Series: Syscom 1000T Main Hub Station

  • Solidcom Series: Solidcom M1, Solidcom C1 (Hub 8S Variant), and Solidcom C1 Pro (Hub 4S, Hub 8S, and Roaming Hub variants)

Technical Specifications Matrix

Component Attribute Technical Specifications Detail
Official Model SKU HV-CA01
Interface Connector Side A 1 × RJ45 Male (Ethernet Format Port Plug)
Interface Connector Side B 1 × XLR 3-Pin Female (Audio Line-In) | 1 × XLR 3-Pin Male (Audio Line-Out)
Physical Cable Length 6.6 feet (2.0 meters)
Signal Transmission Type Analog 4-Wire Balanced Audio Matrix Routing
Core Construction Heavy-duty molded PVC connectors with strain-relief boots

Software Configuration Reminder: Simply making the physical cable connection between your base stations will not pass audio automatically. After connecting the RJ45 plug to your master hub and running the dual XLR lines to the target intercom system, you must access the internal settings menu on your hub. Navigate to 4-Wire Settings, choose Line Sequence Switching, and set the line configuration logic to Standard or Cross (depending on the target model's input mapping) to open up the communication channel.
