Hollyland Spares - Soft Antenna (for Cosmos Series)

The Hollyland Soft Antenna is an official factory-spare replacement antenna custom-engineered for the Cosmo series professional wireless video transmission systems.

Known on set for its distinct flexible neck design, this omnidirectional paddle antenna is built to withstand the physical abuse typical of heavy-duty broadcast environments. Standard rigid antennas easily snap at the base if a camera rig is bumped, laid down improperly, or caught in a doorway. This official spare features a ruggedized, flexible construction that absorbs mechanical impacts and bends out of harm's way without snapping the connector post or losing video transmission signal.

Core RF & Structural Features

  • Impact-Absorbing Flexible Gooseneck Base: Designed with a dense, rubberized flexible core near the connection point. This structural strain-relief neck lets the antenna bend fluidly under external pressure and bounce right back into its original upright orientation.

  • Linear High-Gain Signal Performance: Optimized to operate flawlessly within standard broadcast 5 GHz frequency channels. It delivers highly stable, low-latency HD/SDI video feeds across long distances, ensuring the director’s monitor and video village receive a clean, noise-free signal.

  • Omnidirectional Radiation Field: Propagates a standard 360-degree horizontal RF wave. This broad coverage pattern gives the camera operator freedom to pan, tilt, or execute tracking shots without triggering sudden line-of-sight dropouts.

  • Precision RP-SMA Interface: Built with a durable, gold-plated Reverse Polarity SMA (RP-SMA) internal female thread. The high-tolerance connection threads smoothly onto the transmitter or receiver chassis to prevent RF signal leakage.

System Interoperability

This factory-replacement accessory is specifically calibrated for Hollyland’s high-end broadcast ecosystem:

  • Primary System Lineup: Fully compatible with the Cosmo C1 wireless SDI/HDMI transmission system, as well as legacy Cosmo 600, 1200, and 2000 models.

  • Cross-Ecosystem Usability: Can be utilized on Mars series setups (such as the Mars 400S Pro or Mars 4K) as a heavy-duty, impact-resistant alternative to standard rigid paddles.

Technical Specifications Matrix

Feature Specification
Official Spare Category OEM High-Flexibility Broadcast Infrastructure Spares
Antenna Profile Geometry Flat Paddle with Rubberized Soft-Flex Neck Base
Target RF Working Bands 5.1 GHz to 5.8 GHz Optimized Bandwidth
Connection Thread Type Threaded RP-SMA Female Coaxial Lock
Outer Chassis Material Heavy-Duty Impact-Absorbing Thermoplastic Elastomer
Color Configuration Profile Production Matte Black

On-Set Wireless Rigging Best Practice: Even though these soft antennas are designed to bend safely when struck, always try to orient them straight up vertically and parallel to each other during standard operation. Antennas radiate their strongest, cleanest signals outward from their long flat sides rather than pointing out from their tips. Keeping them straight and vertical ensures maximum transmission range and zero glitches across the stage to your monitor infrastructure.
