The Libec HANDLE50 is a professional clamp handle accessory explicitly designed for the Libec JB50 (Swift Jib50) Telescopic Jib Arm system.
Rather than acting as a locking part for the telescopic arm sections, this device functions as a dedicated rear operation control grip. It locks onto the horizontal rear counterweight bar to provide a solid, comfortable interface for the jib operator.
Core Features & Practical Utility
-
Rear Operation Grip: Operating a long jib arm by directly grabbing the raw metal weight bar or the balance discs can lead to jerky movements. The clamp handle provides a wide, soft-foam rubber grip that gives you much better physical leverage over the arm's panning and tilting axis.
-
Integrated Remote Control Dock: The metal shaft of the handle matches standard pan-bar diameters. This design allows you to clamp lens controllers (such as the Libec ZFC-L zoom and focus controller, or the ZC-LP LANC control) or motorized remote head controllers directly onto the handle grip. This layout puts your operational camera controls right next to your steering hand at the back of the crane.
-
Toolless Compression Clamp: The built-in mechanical clamp features an oversized thumb screw. This allows you to slide the handle onto any section of the 15mm to 30mm diameter rear weight bar and lock it down securely in seconds without needing hex wrenches or screwdrivers.

Operational System Tips for the HANDLE50:
💡 The Dual-Handle Balance Trick: If you are operating a heavy camera rig at the maximum 190-centimeter extension of the JB50, managing both rapid diagonal pans and camera framing with a single hand can cause physical fatigue. Many operators choose to deploy two separate HANDLE50 units on the rear weight bar—one clamped on the left side of the counterweight plate stack and one clamped on the right. This dual-handle layout splits the lifting weight evenly between both arms for smoother tracking arcs.
-
Preventing Controller Twist: When clamping high-torque zoom controllers onto the handle extension tube, ensure the handle clamp itself is pressed firmly against the face of your closest counterweight disc before tightening. This structural positioning prevents the handle assembly from twisting out of alignment under your hand pressure during heavy tilt moves.
