The Libec HS-150 is a professional video support system bundle configuration. It couples a continuous perfect counterbalance fluid head with a robust ground-level floor spreader. This hardware combination is specifically optimized for stable, flat shooting environments like studio floors, corporate stages, theatres, and indoor arenas.
Â
This system handles total payloads up to six point six pounds or three kilograms, making it an ideal choice for compact mirrorless camera configurations, lightweight digital cinema cages, and small handheld broadcast camcorders.
Component Breakdown
-
H15 Fluid Head: A seventy-five millimeter dual-base fluid head equipped with a flat bottom alongside a traditional half-ball casting. It provides a finely adjustable counterbalance system backed by a continuous spring tension knob and an illuminated reference meter dial. The pan and tilt drag modules deliver fixed fluid resistance plus a zero free setting.
-
RT30B Tripod Legs: High-stability, two-stage aluminum alloy legs utilizing robust die-cast metal casings at the upper leg hinges. Built with an industry-standard seventy-five millimeter bowl diameter, these legs offer excellent torsional resistance to counteract whip-pans. Leg extensions are firmly secured using rapid rotary clamping levers.
-
SP-2B Ground Spreader: A professional floor-level spreader that locks the bottom spikes of the tripod legs into a fixed, structural triangular layout. This ground anchor maximizes lower stability on flat surfaces and prevents the legs from bowing out or marring delicate indoor floors.
-
RC-30 Carrying Case: A custom-contoured, water-resistant nylon transport bag. It features a heavy-duty, end-to-end zipper layout, reinforced carry handles, and an adjustable shoulder strap to safely house the collapsed system during travel.

Operational System Tips for the HS-150:
💡 Achieving Ultra-Low Angles: Because this specific package uses the SP-2B ground-level floor spreader instead of a mid-level design, you can achieve significantly lower camera perspectives. By widening the footprint of the ground spreader fully and collapsing the two-stage aluminum leg extensions completely, you can drop the center of your camera package down to a minimum operating height of just twenty-two inches or fifty-six centimeters from the floor.
-
Two-Axis Stability Check: When locking your camera plate into the sideload mechanism, always utilize the integrated circular bubble level on the base of the head. Since floor surfaces are not always completely true, adjust your leveling bowl until the bubble rests perfectly centered before tuning your balance settings. This prevents your horizon from tilting off-axis when performing wide panoramic moves.
