The Libec HS-450M Tripod System is a professional, high-performance video support rig designed primarily for mid-sized cinema rigs, heavily rigged handheld setups, and Electronic News Gathering shoulder-mounted cameras.
The breakdown of each part number explains how the system is constructed:
Component Breakdown
-
H45 Fluid Head: The centerpiece of the system. It features a 75mm dual-base that can mount to both 75mm bowl legs and flat-base gear like sliders. It handles a load capacity up to 26.5 pounds or 12 kilograms and utilizes a continuous, perfect counterbalance system with an illuminated meter.
-
RT40RB Tripod Legs: Two-stage aluminum legs with a 75mm bowl mount. They provide exceptional torsional rigidity to prevent camera twisting during heavy pans.
-
BR-6B Mid-Level Spreader: A telescopic mid-level spreader that allows you to safely set up on uneven terrain or stairs where standard ground spreaders will not lie flat.
-
FP-2B Rubber Feet: A set of three large, non-slip rubber feet that attach securely over the spiked tips of the tripod legs for indoor or studio surfaces.
-
RC-50 Carrying Case: A heavy-duty, fully padded, water-resistant tripod bag with a wide opening for quick packing and transport.

Why This Setup Stands Out
The standout engineering feature here is the Perfect Counterbalance. Unlike cheaper heads that use a few fixed presets, the H45 uses a continuous internal spring mechanism. When properly adjusted to your rig's weight, you can tilt the camera to any angle and let go of the pan handle—the camera will completely stop and hold its exact position without creeping or snapping back.
Additionally, the dual accessory ports (one quarter inch twenty and three eighths inch sixteen options) on the side of the head base allow you to mount monitors, wireless transmitters, or articulating arms without throwing off the main payload's center of gravity.
