When you pair the Libec QH3 fluid head with the T150B legs, BR-6B mid-level spreader, and FP-6B rubber feet, you assemble the exact core components of the premium Libec QD-30M Heavy-Duty Field Tripod System.
Unlike the pedestal-bound QD-30PD studio configuration, this structural combination is optimized for heavy-duty field production, outside broadcasts (OB), and rugged cinematic deployments.
How the Components Integrate
1. Interface: Native Flat Base to 150mm Bowl
The T150B features a massive 150mm casting bowl. To mount the flagship QH3 fluid head (which natively has a studio 4-bolt flat base), you utilize the Libec BL-150 adapter. This converts the head into a 150mm half-ball configuration, giving you the ability to level a massive camera package on uneven outdoor terrain in seconds.
2. Rigidity & Support: The T150B Leg Chassis
Built out of heavy-walled aluminum pipes, the T150B is a ultra-rigid 2-stage support structure capable of holding up to 100 kg (220.4 lbs). Its massive twisting lock handles secure each stage firmly, preventing leg slipping or twisting flex when an operator applies heavy panning torque to a 60 kg broadcast camera rig.
3. Stability Control: BR-6B Mid-Level Spreader & FP-6B Feet
-
BR-6B Telescopic Spreader: Because a traditional ground spreader cannot cope with rocks, curbs, or stairs, the BR-6B anchors to the middle joints of the legs. Its telescopic arms adjust the exact leg footprint radius while keeping the tripod structurally braced on uneven slopes.
-
FP-6B Large Rubber Pads: These snap securely over the T150B’s native dual metal spikes. They provide a massive, slip-free rubber surface area that grips smooth surfaces like slick studio floors, gymnasiums, or concrete docks, while dampening micro-vibrations from the ground.

Heavy Duty Field Deployment Pro-Tips:
⚠️ The 150mm Leveling Tie-Down Warning: When leveling a camera package that approaches the system’s 60 kg limit on the 150mm ball, never loosen the under-bowl tie-down knob fully. Loosen it just enough to glide the head to level against the integrated illuminated bubble meter. If you back the knob out too far, the crushing downward center-of-gravity force of a top-heavy rig can cause the ball to slip suddenly, pinching your fingers or causing the rig to slam sideways.
-
The Transport Leg Hook: The T150B features a built-in heavy-duty mechanical leg-holding hook on the lower casting. Always loop this hook securely before lifting the 47-pound tripod setup into an equipment truck to prevent the lower stages from unexpectedly dropping down.
