If you are operating on steep hillsides, rocky slopes, stadium bleachers, or uneven stairs, you should swap the SP-15B out for a mid-level spreader (BR-6B) and rubber feet (FP-6B). Forcing a ground spreader onto jagged terrain causes the arms to twist off-axis, loading uneven bending force onto the tripod's bottom castings and increasing the risk of a top-heavy rig tipping over.
